A letter To Renee

Dear Renee,

May this letter finds you in good health and spirits. I really wanted to write this long, long ago. But time and conditions forbid me and so I am late. 😅

I really do love you a lot, and you certainly are a gem of this blogging world. So compassionate, so caring… I can’t really put forward my admiration in words…

A warm light, even in the darkest night,

A warm smile,

A righteous ray showing me the right

Path, when I am stumbling alone.

With a heart bigger than ocean,

And care without any bounds,

With love reaching far and wide,

And compassion, caressing about

Me, when I am weeping.

I really thank you Renee,

For being in my life,

For being every time I need someone

To understand me.

Thank you so much Renee for everything! You really are a star…

I can’t wait for the day when your published book that you have written and illustrated yourself becomes a BESTSELLER!!! Because that is what is going to happen when people read it! You are going to amaze everyone who reads your creations, just as you just amazed me! You are very gifted. Don’t let anyone steal your dreams. Go for it! Reach the stars! There was a time when I was more suspicious of kindness—guarded—“what is it you want from me…??” To a degree, I still am…but, here I am finding that even with my own resistance—this old heart is softening. Slowly…the loving kindness of daughters, sisters, mothers, et. al helps. And at the same time—I know I am unworthy.

        Renee, to me, you embody solid mother—the kind of woman you WANT as a mother. I can learn much from you. 🙏🏻

        Yep, there are those days when I too need loving kindness…gentle reminders…firm nudge. Thank you, Dragon Warrior for being gentle with me, a villain at worst…

        I like to think of you—Sophie/Mira as a young sister—I wish for you all the success you deserve! You capture such sweet expressions! And sometimes there is sadness too. This is a beautiful gift and talent. At the same time, you seem like an older sister too…like you’ve played this game before…

        I’m grateful to know you both. Thank you for being here. WP💟

      7. Ok…tears!!! 😭Your words have touched me yet again, Nina! And Sophie—I really really know how you feel, Nina. It has never been easy for me to trust people. Because I’ve been hurt so much in my life. I think sometimes it’s just a chance we have to take. Choosing to love is better than to have never loved at all. It’s better than being alone any day! The truth is, there will probably be more hurts before I leave this old world, but you know—finding this community has been one of the best things to ever happen to me! I call you friends and family! My heart overflows! And maybe you are right about me being the mom I would want. 🤗 And I cant imagine you as a villain at all girl!…I tried to open your lullaby. Only the beginning would play and then it would stop, so I will keep trying! What I heard was beautiful! You truly have a beautiful singing voice! I knew you did! 🤗🥰💃😁

        Yes, there will be more hurts…but now we know better how to handle the hurts. Like grown women.

      13. Hmmmm….I have a voice which loves to make melodies. I am singer. Yes. And I enjoy recording. It is wonderful to share music with others. Mira, do you also sing?

      15. Ha! Me too! World folk songs. I record—alone with no one but the cat listening. I used to sing on stage way back in high school. Loved it! But now, I enjoy singing quietly throughout the day. Brings me peace.

      19. You are very true, Renee! Nina certainly has a beautiful voice and heart, and so do you. I have been hurt many a time too but have learned by now, every hurt just makes us stronger.

      26. Oh Nina, for me, you are a really inspiring older sister, someone who has stood against and won against all the bad times. You have witnessed dark days but instead of blaming them, you are moving forward, showering rays of light. Is that’s not heroic, what is? I can’t say how big is the compliment of being acknowledged as your sister…
        Renee is surely a warm, compassionate motherly figure to me too.
        And you can never be a villain! We all are heroes and villains both, I know, but you have shown the really heroism that hardly fiction touches.
