These days, poetry has given me a new language to express myself. Every thought, every emotions, every feelings can be expressed through it.

Alex Tyson Carey’s courage at the 2nd semi-final of the ICC Cricket Tournament really shook my heart. And at last I’ve got a way to express it.

Dedicated to Carey,

Courage

Courage is not bragging

Or boasting in front of the world,

Nor it is a miracle

Promising no falls—

But it is, indeed, a promise

To get up back again,

To put on a smile

In front of sadness and pain;

To be level head

In the darkest of days,

To shine like a star,

In the darkest of nights;

To fight,

To fight on till the end;

And if defeat comes,

Accepting it the gallant way.

  3. Oh yeah i saw that! Felt so horrible for Carey but was so glad he was okay and played a great innings! Awesome poem for him, would be so nice if he was able to see it 😊

      4. I was supporting both… But ICC’s decision really disappointed me. What a silly rule! Both should have been declared winners.
        I love Neesham too, but Kane, Tim and Trent and Lockie are great too.
        Who is your favourite Aussie player?

      5. Nice! Yeah that was indeed disappointing. I mean, they both played exceptionally well and the decision shouldn’t have been based on who hit the most boundaries. It’s abt the score, not the boundaries. They tied in the final score and tied in the super over. And you’re (ICC) only looking at who hit the most 4s and 6s! ☹️ Some of ICC’s decisions are really weird.

        Yeah they’re all great too and did awesome yesterday! 👍🏼
